About City, Culture, and Community PhD program

CCC2014

The City, Culture, and Community (CCC) doctoral program provides an interdisciplinary graduate education that addresses interrelationships between the physical environment, the built environment, and social, economic, and political institutions and processes that shape cities and metropolitan regions.  The CCC program brings together the theoretical and methodological approaches of the social sciences, social work, architecture, law , and humanities and applies them to a range of issues pertaining to cities, culture, and communities.  The interdisciplinarity of the CCC program allows students flexibility to develop their training in individual research interests while providing rigorous disciplinary training in social work, sociology, and urban studies.
